Fairhill Bus Stops in the Element

Public transportation may be easily accessible to Fairhill residents, but it's not always the best option.Taking the bus can be difficult because of the atmosphere provided for citizens.

As our group entered the neighborhood and observed various means of transportation, we noticed that one of the bus stops didn't have a shield to protect ones' self from in climate weather or any railings to help with elderly or handicapped bus riders.

After noticing this particular bus stop, we later discovered that all of the bus stops in the surrounding blocks in and out of Fairhill did not have anything other than an empty street corner and a six inch sign notifying passengers they happened to be standing on the right corner. Residents stated that usually when the weather is cooperative, they prefer to ride a bike or walk. On days filled with rain or snow showers, waiting for the bus can be the hardest part of the day.
Residents said they slowly became used to not having any protection from the weather or seating while waiting for the bus. They also stated that not having a decent bus stop is an obvious reason why riding a bicycle has become a more sufficient means of transportation.
