Group 26 Goes Bannanas for Johnny Mananas!!!!

On the corner of Ridge Ave. and Midvale Ave. lies the best Mexican Restaurant I've been to in a long time. Johnny Mananas has such a great vibe to it. It's not one of those cheesy, overly decorated spots which is definitely a relief. The atmosphere is very welcoming and for a Saturday afternoon you can find nice mix of people. Parents with their kids, couples, or just a group of friends, Mananas seems like a favorite on Ridge.

Our intentions for going to the restaurant were not only just to stuff our faces with chips and salsa, but to obviously speak with locals on transportation issues in the area. Everyone kind of had the same answer, car or train. But the train station is outside of our coverage area so that was really no help. Riding the bus is not as big on this side of Ridge opposed to being the main source of transportation for so many in the Strawberry Mansion area on Ridge.

Its really interesting to watch Ridge transform from an area with abandon houses and trash covered streets to a place with quaint coffee shops and restaurants. But that's one of my favorite aspects of Philadelphia, nothing is consistent with the next.
