Today I got off at the Girard stop on the Market Frankford Line, and decided to walk up to The IceHouse again too see what was going on. Construction workers were there, working as they had been before. This project seems to be getting done pretty quickly compared to most construction I have been aware of. I decided to take a closer look at Moyer St. as that is around where the Moyer project will be built. Last time I was on the site was before I new about this project. I wonder if the street is dug up because of that project at all or if it is just piping for The IceHouse.
After this I walked around, trying to find some ideas, but once again there was not much going on at this time of day. I walked past a few parks, and came across Pop’s Playground again. There were not many people there this time, being a weekday morning. I wanted to find Penn Treaty Park, but I missed it on this visit. I am interested in the environment in relation to Fishtown now. Besides the 'green' buildings, this neighborhood seems to always be very clean. They also really care about their parks, and they are in great shape. Even when the city does not fund them, they still keep them up and looking beautiful.
