Like most people, Daniel Aleshinloye was just passing through the Southwest to get to his destination- which happened to be a job fair. He is a St. John’s University alum who worked for three years as a paralegal. Within that time, Aleshinloye struggled to save up money so he could continue his education. He wanted to further pursue law at the University of Pennsylvania but recently decided his plans to go back to school would need to be put on hold.
On his endeavor to hunt for a job, Aleshinloye met Atlantic Aviation line manager, Joe McCusker. The men were discussing employment opportunities when we approached them just minutes before their departure. McCusker had plans to meet a friend and invited his new acquaintance to ride along to further discuss the possibilities of aviation work. Although Aleshinloye didn’t set out to find a job like McCuster’s, he couldn’t help but be intrigued but his line of duty.
After a long day of rejection, refusal and being straight up ignored while traveling through the Southwest to find stories, it was refreshing to see these two strangers be so welcoming to one another and to us.
