Libroface: Facebook Circa 1600

Last Saturday April 3 at the Walking Fish Theater, a new troupe the Averagazzi put on a performance called "Libroface: a Social Networking Farce." What made the performance so unique was that it was performed in the style of 16th century Commedia Dell' Arte. Commedia Dell’ Arte is improvisation comedy

“Librofac
e: a Social Networking Farce” was extremely entertaining. The characters all had big personalities and the same person would play different parts, effectively embodying the personality of a different character. The actors interacted heavily with the audience, adding to the humor and keeping the audience engaged. The story line was if facebook was created in the 16th century and how different it would be. For example, under relationship status, “betrothed” was an option. The play was hilarious and very creatively written.
